The Vitelotte Toque is worked in the round from the brim up. It begins with an Italian tubular cast-on and a few rounds of double knitting, which give a fully reversible, stretchy edge before the brim settles into a single-layer 1×1 rib. The crown is then divided into four sections with markers and decreased in quarters, moving to a faster decrease rate over the last few rounds so the top rounds off neatly.
Sizing: Size small makes a cute little beanie that fits an average child or adult head snugly (pictured in grey), the large size (pictured in mauve) is more rounded and great for wearing over the Vitelotte Balaclava or simply for a larger, more relaxed fit. The medium creates the same effect of the small size on a larger head circumference. Sizing has approximately 2.5" of negative ease but use the photos as a reference.
