PATTERN NOTES:

Sizes: 0-12 months, 12 months - 4 y, 5-12 y/Adult Small, Adult Regular

Finished Width: 15 cm (6"), (17 cm (6.75”)), (20 cm (8”)), (22 cm (8.5"))

Finished Length (measured from crown to bottom of edging along back seam): 15 cm (6"), (19 cm, (7.25”)), (21 cm (8.25”)), (22 cm (8.5"))

Gauge: 16 sts / 24 rows = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette on a 5 mm / US 8 needle after blocking

Needles: 4 mm (US 6) 24”/ 60 cm or longer circular needle or long straight needles 5 mm (US 8) 24”/ 60 cm or longer circular needle

Yarn: 55 g, (70 g), (75g) (85 g) (164 yards or 150 M / 100 g skein) of Estelle Yarns, Cloud Cotton or another worsted weight yarn that achieves the right gauge.

Notes:

The Fava Bonnet is a quick and easy project worked flat and seamed up using a three needle bind off (to learn the three needle bind off, I suggest googling "knitting three needle bind off" and you should find lots of helpful videos). It starts at the front edge ribbing, then the main head piece is knit in stockinette, and a garter stitch edge and ties are cast on and picked up at the end.
